Stormy Crossing

The ship it lurches

With each surge

The waves pose

High o’erhead

The storm all crash

Careening rage

And I transfixed

With dread.

But you had called

The crossing, Lord

And you had joined

Our crew.

And you had settled

For a rest

Not caring

What winds do.

And this your

Father’s mission

And this your

Father’s Lake

And this a time

For you to

Rise and act

For mercy’s sake!

How quickly

All was settled

The storm an

Errant waif.

And peace restored

By your command

And all your friends

Found safe.
