I did it
Touched His garment
And how real things have changed
And those who should respect the light
Just think me quite deranged.
They doubt it
Can’t get to it
It did not start with them
“A youngster’s strange exuberance
Imagine, touched Christ’s hem!”
I know it
To years of same old same
And they’ll not rob this precious pearl
I thrill to name His Name.
I blush now
These eyes that Glory touched
They have beheld the love-tide’s swell?
An urchin given much!
