Your lies have hit the hardest

Your postures and your pomp

Your friendships lured

The truth obscured

By selfish, scheming romp.

And you proceed uncaring

And disregard each check

Forgetting Haman’s scaffold frame

That finally broke his neck.

The worst it seems, this lying

And thievery right behind

The scroll the prophet saw, and warned

But you are deaf and blind.

Note: Have you ever noticed how the structured lie is almost the hardest sin to forgive?

Wonder why that is?
