Perfect Peace

There is no treasure greater than the peace of a living realized relationship with Jesus. Comfort. Confidence in Another. Commissioning. Constancy. Control. And all through the energies and guidance of His greatest Gift, the Holy Ghost, living and urging on the inside. Oh please read Ezekiel chapters 36 and 37…Doug Blair, Waterloo, Ontario.

One trips over it…the Cosmos grand…the warming sights…all from His hand…I cannot doubt…that Beauty reigns…and one day soon…relieves all pains. (Doug)

if he owes thee aught put it on my account (Jesus)

Some inklings of Revival.

Largeness of Heart, 1986

Things were happening

Jesus from all directions

Special time but shocking

Master held the clay.

Court house visits

Many a day.

And someone I noticed

As if never before.

Six year old opposite.

Legs of atrophy

Dragging around

Racing car sound.

On special trike.

Call him Mike.

Always a-whirl

Plans and play

Smiles abundant

Day to day.

Yes even to me

The big shot pro

Who didn’t know

Or even see

The pain plain there.

The hurdles to joy.

But not this boy

Not Mike.

Racing his trike.

Thought of a chum

Of law school days.

Legs dragged by crutch.

Didn’t stop much.

Now celebrated advocate

West Coast fame

For suffering causes

Needing no applauses

Too much to do.

Approachable too.

Joe’s his name.

At My Feet
The rush has
Left me gasping
And the fear
Builds up inside
And I panic
For protection
And a certain
Place to hide.
Do I hear Him
Gently calling
‘Child my welcome
Is still sure
And some rest
In Love’s assurance.
You will more
Than just endure.
Here some messages
Of promise
And of confidence
It is at my feet
At my feet.’

In Heavenly Places

to be seated with Him

is not hogwash

neither metaphor

without present fact.

you have entered

His covenant meekly

you have union

and with Him you act.

oh the Trinity

welcomes you warmly

not just hope for

the sweet by and by.

and your prayers now

have miracle power

you just look up

petition and try.

The Lord Waits

April 15, 2012

Looking again at Isaiah 30:

18And therefore will the LORD wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the LORD is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him.

19For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem: thou shalt weep no more: he will be very gracious unto thee at the voice of thy cry; when he shall hear it, he will answer thee.

The people of the Southern Kingdom were in a panic and considering going back to the old “bail-out” remedy of Egypt with its horses, chariots and military strength.

God had other plans wherein He would show Himself strong on their behalf. The terrible judgment about to be reaped by the invading Assyria was going to bring much glory to His name and renewed holy fear in His people.

But God was waiting. Yes God…until circumstances became so bleak that only He could bring about rescue.

And God has often waited. For Adam and Eve to sense their shame. For the wickedness of Pharoah to reach full measure. For David to learn priceless lessons of covenant care from the flock on the move. For Manasseh to come to the point of mighty repentance in a foreign jail. For the scribes serving Josiah to discover the mislaid Holy Scrolls and to usher in one last interval of revival before exile of Judah. For the maturing and training of John “that voice crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way.” For the fulness of time to bring Messiah and Gethsemane, Calvary’s Hill and an Empty Tomb.

And yes, He has waited for you to realize your sin and need, and His availability, longsuffering and yearning to save, and to make single-minded and holy. Do you sense that it is almost time? Does the Church?

James 5:

7Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.

8Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.
